The short version
We collect as little as we can: for most people, just an email address. We use it only to send what you asked for. We never sell or rent it, and you can leave at any time with one click. This website has no tracking cookies, ad pixels or analytics.
Who we are
Sunday Waggle ("we") decides how your information is used. Contact: info@sundaywaggle.com · 712 H St NE, PMB 93565, Washington, DC 20002, USA (mail only).
What we collect, and why
| What | When | Why | Legal basis (EU/UK) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your email address, and your first name if you give it | You sign up for the free Sunday Waggle Hour or a freebie | To send the download, the weekly email, and news of new kits | Your consent |
| Sign-up record (date, time, the form you used, IP address, confirmation click) | Sign-up | To prove you asked to join and to stop fake sign-ups | Legitimate interests (and our legal duty to show consent) |
| Whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked | Each email we send | To see which emails are useful and to remove addresses that bounce | Legitimate interests; you can opt out by unsubscribing |
| Your message and email address | You write to us | To reply and help you | Legitimate interests / to give you what you asked for |
| Order details (name, email, what you bought) | You buy a kit on Etsy or Gumroad | To deliver your kit, help with problems and handle refunds | Contract |
| Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) | You visit sundaywaggle.com | Security and keeping the site running | Legitimate interests |
We never see your card details. The platform you buy from handles payment.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted companies to run Sunday Waggle. They only handle your information for the purposes above:
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) sends our emails and stores the subscriber list, as our processor. Data is held in the EU.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and forwards email sent to info@sundaywaggle.com, as our processor.
- Google (Gmail) holds our inbox, so it stores emails you send us, as our processor.
- Etsy and Gumroad run checkout, payment, delivery and receipts when you buy. They act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies (Gumroad is also the seller of record for Gumroad orders). They share order details with us so we can support you.
Some of these companies are in the United States. Where your information moves outside the EU, UK or your country, it's protected by the providers' standard contractual clauses, or by their certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension.
How long we keep it
- Subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep just your email address on a "do not email" list, so you're never added back by mistake.
- Emails to us: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Orders: as long as the law requires for tax and accounting records (usually 5–7 years). The platforms keep their own records.
- Server logs: a short time, set by Cloudflare.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of every email, or just ask us.
- Wherever you live, you can ask us to see, correct, delete or export your information, or tell us to stop using it. Write to info@sundaywaggle.com and we'll reply within 30 days. These rights come from laws such as the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, Singapore's PDPA, Canada's PIPEDA, Australia's Privacy Act and US state privacy laws.
- If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK or your national authority in the EU.
Our emails (CAN-SPAM and friends)
Every email we send:
- goes only to people who asked for it, with a confirmation click;
- has an honest subject line and says it's from Sunday Waggle;
- carries our mailing address and a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honored right away.
Cookies
sundaywaggle.com sets no cookies and runs no trackers. If you open a link in one of our emails, Brevo may record the click as described above.
Children
Sunday Waggle is for grown-ups. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers, strong passwords and two-step sign-in, and we keep the information we hold to a minimum. No system is perfect. If something ever went wrong in a way that affected you, we'd tell you and the right authorities as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top. For big changes, we'll also tell subscribers by email.
